A singer songwriter who cut his teeth in the Brooklyn bar scene playing classic rock and folk style originals, Jordan brings a relatable confidence, genuine energy, and experienced professionalism to the stage every time he plays.

With a vocal style that is a combination of Eric Burdon, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Seger and a musical sensibility akin to Bob Dylan and Nina Simone, McIntyre satisfies listeners who engage primarily with the lyrics as well as those who demand a high standard of musical craft.

His originals are relatable and challenging, personal as well as political; and yet he also brings a large repertoire of classic rock cover songs to the stage, engaging listeners with what they already know and love.

Jordan has put out two solo albums of original music, (Home Quartered and Gusanos Gratis) and has written countless original songs. Some have been recorded, but many, in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, were made up on the spot for the people there on the spot, and given as offerings to the moment, never to return.

Jordan also fronts a couple of bands. One is in New York City and it’s called Parachute Jump. Playing original songs in the local bar scene in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Parachute Jump has become known for their unique and powerful fusion of classic rock, country, and funk. The second band is out of Detroit, and it’s called Jordan McIntyre and The Speed Humps. With a sound that is as irreverent as their name, The Humps grind out covers and original compositions with an energy that can only be described as seductive.

Jordan also plays private parties, primarily in New York City and The Hamptons. Focusing on the classics by the likes of The Grateful Dead, Bob Seger, Joe Cocker, Bruce Springsteen, and Steve miller, Jordan is enthusiastic about bringing positive energy and entertainment to the party.
